Tickets for Amtrak's new "Mardi Gras Service" are now available for purchase, with twice-daily routes scheduled to begin soon.

Beginning on Aug. 18, Amtrak's intercity train service will run twice-daily between Mobile, Alabama and New Orleans, Louisiana, along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The service will have morning and evening departures from both Mobile and New Orleans, offering same-day connections daily in both directions.
