Renovations are underway at the Rockford Park District’s first inclusive playground, “Paulyground,” at Alpine Park.

The playground, located at 950 S. Alpine Road, has been a popular destination for families since it opened in 2003. Construction is currently in progress to update the playground and improve accessibility and safety, according to a community announcement.

The Rockford Park District is transforming “Paulyground” with new equipment and features designed for children of all abilities. The playground’s redesign was guided by community input and an advisory group that included Therapeutic Recreation department team members, parents of children with disability-related needs and community partners.
