Several southeast animal rescue groups are accusing a Bartow County veterinarian of botched spay and neuter surgeries they say left rescue dogs with serious complications — and, in some cases, dead.
The groups allege the surgeries were performed by Dr. Angela Wright, who works with Bartow County Animal Control.
Jen Davis, who runs Delilah’s 2nd Chance Rescue, said two of her rescue dogs, Sienna and Shirley, came from Bartow County Animal Control after spay surgeries by Wright. She claims both had problems with their sutures reopening and becoming infected.
“When she woke up, she had part of her intestines hanging out,” Davis said of Sienna, describing a rush back to Bartow for emergency stitching.
