COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A suspect is facing several charges, including having a suspected incendiary device.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), on August 7th, just before noon, the suspect was pulled over for a vehicle registration violation near N. Carefree Circle and S. Hammock Drive.

Police say early into their investigation, they learned the suspect, Anthony Lopez, did not have a valid Colorado Driver’s License, and the vehicle would be impounded.

While doing an inventory search of the vehicle, they found a suspected incendiary device.

The CSPD E.O.D Unit was called to the scene and took possession of the device. Lopez was taken to the El Paso County Jail for possession of the device and several traffic violations.
