WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A man is dead after a standoff with the Warner Robins and Centerville Police Departments at the Galleria Mall in Centerville, according to Houston County Sheriff Matt Moulton.

Moulton said that he's not sure if it was an officer involved shooting, or if the man took his own life. He said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been handed the case and is looking into it.

Around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, the Warner Robins Police Department sent out a release noting that they were involved in a standoff at the mall.

Around 8:30 a.m., Moulton confirmed that the standoff was over and that its likely safe to return to the area. There may still be police presence by the mall.
