EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) -- The FOX 8 I-Team has learned that two East Cleveland Police officers have been shot and wounded after responding to a shooting of two other people.
According to East Cleveland's Mayor, both officers were rushed to University Hospitals and are in stable condition.
Officials said the two officers were shot in different locations, but its believed they were shot by the same suspect.
The incident started to unfold when officers were called to a domestic incident on N. Taylor Road at about 11 p.m. on Thursday. A responding officer was shot in the leg. While officers had the home surrounded and were waiting for a SWAT Team to arrive, they heard gunshots nearby and responded to the Town House Motel on Euclid Avenue.
