What started as a lemonade stand in the summer to save money has turned into a long-term business venture for a Sioux Falls 6-year-old.
In July, families attended McKennan Park for the Children’s Theatre’s free performance of "Sleeping Billy." As the event ended, some of those attendees made their way to the nearby parked trailer to see elementary student Mina Wilson, ready to serve any of her 20 flavors of lemonade from the window.
Bringing community into the business
As a young Hawthorne Elementary student, Mina takes home what she learns from school and puts those lessons towards how she wants to run Litt Lemonade. Asked what inspired her to sell lemonade, she said it was two things: serving cold drinks during the summer heat and 'Ubuntu'.
