CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Shedeur Sanders threw his first NFL touchdown pass with 14:54 remaining in the second quarter.
On the first play of the second quarter, Sanders found wide receiver Kaden Davis breaking on an out route to the left. He threw a well-placed ball to Davis, who easily pulled it in for the touchdown.
Sanders feathered the ball over the leaping Damani Richardson. Cornerback Corey Thornton was in coverage on Davis.
The score and point-after kick tied the game at 7-7.
Sanders is currently 6-of-11 for 40 yards passing through four possessions.
