WVU Health System risk management director named to advisory board

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Jerri Kirkland, RN, BSN, CPHRM, CHC, director of risk management for the WVU Health System (WVUHS), has been named an advisory board member for the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM).

Established in 1980, the ASHRM is a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association with nearly 6,000 members representing risk management, patient safety, insurance, law, finance, and other related professions.

“I am so honored to have been chosen for this Advisory Board position and look forward to representing the state of West Virginia,” Kirkland said. “Success for me in this role will be bridging the gap between ASHRM and our over 1,300 critical access hospitals across the nation. This platform will allow me to advocate for our most precious
