Two people were seriously hurt when a driver who sped at over 100 mph fled police on I-95 in Northern Virginia and then slammed into a car on I-395, authorities say.

The driver also was hurt after Virginia State Police say he refused to stop when a trooper tried to pull him over and then crashed miles away. Photos show the mangled wreckage of the suspect’s and victims’ cars.

At about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, the trooper spotted a Honda sedan driver speeding on I-95 northbound near mile marker 158 in Prince William County. The trooper tried to pull over the driver, but he didn’t stop and “a pursuit was initiated,” a statement from police said.
