AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Amarillo College is highlighting its aviation program. AC’s aviation program is fueling local flight groups with graduates. The program is offering a direct route to a career for students who have the drive to excel in aviation repair and mechanics.

One of the regional aviation companies that AC is supplying with workforce-ready talent is Haven Aviation Services Group.

“We've got probably 50% or more of our staff who are AC alumni from there now, and it's been an amazing collaboration,” Travis Lamance, founder and CEO of Haven ASG, said. “There's a huge shortage of aircraft mechanics in the country right now. They're retiring at a rate much faster than they can be replaced. So this collaboration has been really key for us to be able to keep up with our staff
