Jon Miyahara, best known for playing Brett across six series of Superstore, has died at the age of 83.

He was a fan favourite in the hit ITVX workplace comedy, with numerous former colleagues and co-stars sharing touching tributes after his death was announced.

While his cause of death has not been confirmed, his co-star Colton Dunn, who played Garrett, broke the news on social media.

On Instagram, she wrote: "John was a really awesome guy and as a performer could speak volumes with just a look. He was such a memorable part of the Cloud 9 team.

"It was an honor to know him and work with him. I was lucky enough to meet some of his family and my thoughts are with them. Rest in Peace John."

Kelly Stables (Kelly) replied: "Oh man! He was always so sweet," while Irene White (Carol), added:
