Heading back to school can be overwhelming and lead to stress that your child doesn't know how to handle.

We spoke with a children's therapist at Wellstone’s Nova Center who says it’s important for parents to help their kids manage the stress that comes with school.

Children's therapist Brianna Faulkner says having a solid routine significantly lessens stress. That means waking them up at the same time everyday, making sure they eat a good breakfast every day, and they are getting all the sleep they need.

Another big one is talking to your kids, asking how their day went without jumping straight to questions about grades or tests.
