CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - The Campbell County Health Department was notified that two unidentified dogs were seen near a dead fox that tested positive for rabies on Tuesday, August 5, according to officials from Central Virginia Department of Health .
The two dogs were spotted near the 5600 block of Bear Creek Rd. and are described as hound dogs that are black with white spots and wearing collars.
Anyone who has reason to believe that these are their dogs are advised to seek the advice of a veterinarian and to contact the Campbell County Health Department at (434) 592-9550 or Campbell County Animal Control at (434) 332-9574.
