Experts say clearing your space opens you up to being more creative, more energized and more productive. And that is important heading into a new school year.

"I would say hit three major zones, the entryway, your refrigerator and their closets. As long as those areas are good that can last you for the next few weeks as you make that transition back into school," said Picott.
