MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia is accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations until Sept. 22.

The foundation is offering grants through six programs: YCF Community Grants, YCF Educator Mini-Grants, S.T.E.M. for Girls Fund, Stephen D. Tanner Children’s Enrichment Fund, Taylor County Charitable Interest Fund and the Women’s Giving Circle of North Central West Virginia.

YCF Community Grants this year will focus on basic needs and addiction prevention. The grants are open to nonprofits in Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston and Taylor Counties. Grants of up to $5,000 are available for organizations supporting housing, utilities and food, while organizations with addiction prevention initiatives can apply for up to $2,500
