British Gas has urged customers to eat outside as a heat-health alert is issued across the UK. The energy firm has spoken out ahead of a yellow heat-health alert, with the threat of 30C temperatures returning this August.
Temperatures could reach the mid-30s across central, southern and eastern areas of the country by Wednesday, the Met Office has said. The health warning, issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), covers London, Yorkshire and the Humber, the East Midlands, and the east, south-east and south-west of England.
