(WHTM)-- A stretch of Route 322 in Juniata County is closed after a fatal accident Friday morning, according to Mifflintown Hose Co. #1.

The fire company says Route 322 east is closed between Port Royal and Thompsontown due to a fatal accident.

511PA said crews responded to the crash around 9:30 a.m. The roadway is expected to reopen at 12:40 p.m.

Drivers are being advised to take alternative routes.
