GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Arthur Joseph didn’t hesitate Thursday when face to face with his daughter’s killer.
“I just want the world to know that this guy is a piece of garbage,” the father of Alicia Lofton said, angrily. “I cannot stand being in this room with this bastard. And if it was up to me, he would not walk out of here.”
Marcus Durayalle Lofton , 44, will serve 25-50 years behind bars on a second-degree murder charge for the slaying of his wife, 38-year-old Alicia Lofton, nearly two years ago.
He learned his punishment on Thursday, Aug. 7, after listening to statements from Alicia’s family.
“He just doesn’t know what he’s done to our family, and what he’s done to me. He has no clue,” Joseph said. “There’s not much more I can say about this guy other than I wish I could handle thi
