Leeds United's home, Elland Road , has been ranked as boasting the fourth-best atmosphere in the Premier League, according to a new survey.
A questionnaire set up in a joint venture between YouGov and Betfair saw more than 2,000 football fans cast their votes on which grounds carry the best vibrancy out of next season’s Premier League clubs.
The voting saw Leeds United ’s ground rank fourth, with Anfield taking top spot. Newcastle United’s St James’ Park came second with Old Trafford sitting third. Arsenal’s home, The Emirates Stadium, made up the top five.
Leeds have submitted plans to expand Elland Road up to a capacity of 53,000, with chairman Paraag Marathe sanctioning a design that will retain the crucible-like atmosphere inside the ground.
