CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) - Officials with the cities of Clovis and Portales and surrounding areas will host a groundbreaking ceremony Friday afternoon for the incoming Horizon Behavioral Health Center facility, set to be established at 2501 W 21st St. in Clovis.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held at the build site at 2 p.m. MT on Friday, according to Clovis officials.

Clovis officials noted the project received $10 million from New Mexico for land acquisition and construction, with "Phase One" set to be a 12,000 square foot Crisis Triage Center to provide 24/7 care for patients experiencing behavioral health challenges. The center will offer outpatient and inpatient care for a period of up to 14 days.
