PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)– The Providence ’48 Hour Film Project’ hosted an awards ceremony at RISD Thursday night to screen short films and recognize the filmmakers who took part in the unique and challenging project. The annual event gives film crews 48 hours to come up with a short film in a random genre. ABC6 StormTracker meteorologist and proud momma Kelly Bates was there supporting her son Nathan, whose film was screened first. His team’s short film called ‘History According to Terry Nuorlans’ is a mockumentary/comedy that follows the story of a character named Terry who tries to teach history to others, but only succeeds at spreading misinformation and chaos.
