The United States Air Force (USAF) accident investigation board recently released its final report on the December 2022 incident involving a USAF B-2 Spirit bomber. According to the report, a hydraulic system failure caused a fire that spread to the bomber’s left outboard fuel tank.

The report found that a hydraulic failure caused the B-2 bomber’s left main landing gear to collapse, which made the B-2 bomber skid off the runway and ignite. No one was injured in the incident.
