The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says 44 undocumented residents were arrested in the month of July.

The sheriff's office says it will begin monthly updates "in addition to the 287g Jail Enforcement Program that will begin later this year."

Out of the 44 arrestees, 37 were charged with traffic violations, 27 with a DUI, and five with child neglect, among other charges.

"At the time of booking, these individuals did not meet one or more of the 10 statutory qualifiers used to verify citizenship status under state law," says the sheriff's office.

Out of the 44 arrests, 37 people have been released to ICE.
