With one of the Cardinals' all-time greats in town for an event, manager Oliver Marmol saw an opportunity to also get Yadier Molina back in the dugout.

Molina, the Cardinals' All-Star catcher, will be in uniform and beside Marmol in the dugout starting Friday night and for two games against the Cubs this weekend at Busch Stadium. It will be his first time in a Cardinals uniform since retiring after the 2022 season, and the chance to get the Gold Glove-winner catcher around the current generation of Cardinals during the weekend.
