OTTAWA COUNTY, MI - The Ottawa County Road Commission has been notified that Michigan Shore Railroad is scheduled to begin work on upgrades before the summer ends.
The reconstruction will begin on Friday, Aug. 8, when the crossings at Pierce Street and Lincoln Street will close for approximately one week in Grand Haven Township.
Ottawa County officials say the railroad crossings west of U.S. 31 will be completely closed to traffic.
There will be a signed detour for Lincoln Street, which follows U.S. 31 north to Ferris Street, then west to Lakeshore Drive and back south to Lincoln Street.
