NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV) - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says the pilot of an aircraft survived an emergency landing in northeast Nebraska on Thursday.
The landing took place on August 7, 2025, just before 4 p.m.
The pilot of the aircraft, identified as Issac Weix of Menomonie, Wisconsin, was found at the scene with no reported injuries. He was the sole occupant of the plane.
Deputies say Norfolk Dispatch received a “mayday” call from a plane that had recently departed from Norfolk Regional Airport. The call was then transferred to law enforcement.
It was soon confirmed that the plane landed in a beanfield located east of Norfolk. The plane was found south of the intersection of East Norfolk Avenue and Agnes Drive.
