In an offseason that has largely been defined by change , one constant for the Celtics has been — and will remain — head coach Joe Mazzulla, who the team announced had signed a multi-year contract extension on Friday.
Exact terms of the deal (or length of the extension) was not announced “per team policy,” according to the Celtics.
Mazzulla, 37, has been Boston’s head coach since 2022 (a role he initially occupied in an interim capacity before being formally appointed in 2023). A Rhode Island native, he coached the Celtics to an NBA championship in 2024.
