SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)-- The Syracuse Police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on Butternut Street.

On Friday, August 8th, around 3:12 a.m., Syracuse Police Officers were called to the 1200 block of Butternut Street for a report of a stabbing with injuries. When they arrived, Officers found a 38-year-old male with an apparent stab wound to the torso. The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital and listed in stable condition.

A suspect in the stabbing was identified as 35-year-old Elijah Quantae. Quantae was arrested and charged with Assault in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree concerning this incident.
