Children’s Fairyland has hosted thousands of children’s birthday parties over the years, and now it’s celebrating one of its own. This September, the historic amusement park turns 75, and the celebration on Sept. 1 includes performances, an exhibit at the Oakland Museum of California , and other events.

The park is teaming up with BART for a birthday parade that will kick-off at 9:30 a.m. that day at the 19th Street BART station and will wind around the lake to end at the park’s iconic fairy gates.

Inside the park, there will be plenty of interactive stations for children to try out, including a “birthday adventure passport” activity that will allow participating kids to collect stamps and turn them in for a limited-edition 75th anniversary button.
