DEVILS LAKE — A motorcycle driver was hurt after losing control of the bike near Devils Lake.
The crash occurred at 6:53 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, on Elks Drive, approximately a quarter mile from its junction with Highway 2.
According to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the 48-year-old man from Devils Lake was operating a 2021 Harley-Davidson "at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control while negotiating a right-hand curve. The driver was not wearing a helmet and was ejected from the motorcycle."
He was eventually taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with serious injuries. His name has not yet been released.
