Under the bright lights of Acrisure Bounce House Stadium, UCF coach Scott Frost was on the sideline on Thursday night, guiding the Knights through their first scrimmage of the fall season.

With two weeks of intense practice behind them, the scrimmage served as an exciting glimpse into the evolving dynamics of this year’s team.

It was a far cry from the first time Frost led a team through a fall scrimmage.

“I was talking to somebody today about our first scrimmage in 2016, my first year here, and I left the field depressed,” Frost recalled following Thursday’s scrimmage, which was closed to the media. “We had one big play all day, and that’s because we threw a swing pass to [running back] Adrian Killins and he ran past everybody.
