CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 32-year-old man was stabbed to death on the South Side early Friday morning, Chicago police said.

CPD said officers responded about 4:10 a.m. to the 7400-block of South South Shore Drive in the city's South Shore neighborhood for a reported incident.

Police said the man had been attacked by a known male suspect. He suffered multiple stab wounds, and died on the scene.

A witness said there was an argument before the stabbing.

No one is in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide any additional information about the suspect involved.
