CHICAGO (WLS) -- The FBI is now investigating a Chicago-based travel agency that the ABC7 I-Team reported on last week .

The FBI says it believes "FlyGirl World Travel" has defrauded its customers by collecting payment, canceling their reservations and not refunding their money.

The I-Team heard from people across the U.S. who said the owner of the company, Laticha Douglas, took money for vacations but never made reservations.

In a letter to customers last month, the travel agent said her business had closed, adding that she made bad business choices, but did not set out to scam them.
