CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Supreme Court says it has secured a grant that will keep Family Treatment Courts in operation through September.

The $280,000 comes through a State Opioid Response grant.

State Supreme Court Chief Justice Bill Wooton said the funding is much needed.

“The Supreme Court is grateful to receive this grant, which will allow us to continue operating our Family Treatment Courts over the next two months while we pursue other funding possibilities,” Wooton said in a Friday news release. “We would like to thank the team at the state Bureau for Behavioral Health, including Interim Commissioner Nicholas Stuchell, along with the staff at the Office of Drug Control Policy for working with the Supreme Court’s Administrative Office to secure these critical funds.”
