Westminster’s Grow Love says the art world needs to get bigger.

For too long, she said, art shows threw up barriers to prevent local artists with untapped skills and unusual formats from showing their work.

Grow Love , an internationally nationally known muralist and educator, is trying to change that by seeking out and collaborating with locals to let them explore their street artistry.

“There is so much gatekeeping in other festivals,” said Love. “We have always wanted to run things differently. We always want to pair up with local artists and give them the format they can best work in.”

“I really want to be a bridge between gallery art and street art,” she said. “And there is so much incredible work being done out there.”
