DETROIT – The father of an 8-year-old boy who died in November has been sentenced to prison for his role in the child’s death.

“Little Adren” died on Nov. 8 of multiple blunt force trauma to the head. Authorities say his father and mother worked together to attack him, resulting in fatal injuries.

Jamarr Hill, 37, of Detroit, was sentenced Thursday to 18 to 40 years in Michigan state prison. He had pleaded guilty in July to second-degree murder; in exchange, prosecutors dropped the original charges of first-degree murder and first-degree child abuse.
