OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) - One person is in custody after an overnight shooting in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Overland Park Police Department said an outside agency’s investigation led them to an apartment near W. 135th Street and Quivira Road Friday morning. According to Overland Park’s police call log, an outside agency investigation was activated just after 5 a.m. Friday.

A confrontation outside a home in Kansas City, Kansas, between a group of young men who know each other resulted in shots being fired, a spokesperson with KCKPD told KCTV.

KCKPD has not shared the location of the overnight shooting or when it occurred.

That shooting left one individual with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects then fled to Johnson County to an apartment in the 12100 block of W. 136th Street
