ROCKY FORK, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect was in a home at 331 Lick Branch Road.

The homeowner showed up and met the suspect at the door when they got into altercation, deputies said.

Deputies said both people were armed and that the suspect had a knife and baseball bat.

The suspect attacked the homeowner, and the homeowner fatally shot the suspect, according to deputies.

Deputies said the homeowner sustained no injuries.

At this time, no one has been arrested or charged, deputies said.
