Alabama State held its 10th preseason practice Friday, gearing up for its first scrimmage Saturday at ASU Stadium.

The buzz of preseason camp for the Hornets has been centered around the five-way quarterback competition. Alabama State's offense finished sixth in the SWAC in 2024 , dealing with injuries and uncertainty at the position for majority of 2024.

With two scrimmages in the next two weekends, a clearer picture might emerge as to who will take snaps under center when Alabama State heads to Birmingham to take on UAB for its season opener.
