MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Construction is set to begin on a new outdoor music venue in North Memphis.

According to the President of the Downtown Neighborhood Association of Memphis, Jerred Price, the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development has received an application for a $984,000 construction permit for a nearly 5,700 square foot slab for the eventual stage, as well as improvements to infrastructure at 76 Waterworks Avenue, just off N. Second Street.

Price said two Memphis-based firms, UrbanArch Associates and Zellner Construction Services, are spearheading the venue's design and general contracting work.
