ROME TWP. (WETM) -- An Indiana County man has been sentenced to serve time in state prison after officials say he was found guilty of theft in Bradford County.
Francis E. Werner, 44, was sentenced to a minimum of two and a half years to a maximum of nine and a half years in state prison for the crimes of forgery (second degree felony) and receiving stolen property, as stated in a release from the Bradford County District Attorney's Office.
Officials say Werner was charged with the crimes by Pennsylvania State Police in April of 2022 following an investigation into fraudulent checks on Battle Creek Road in Rome Township.
