No mainline freeway shutdowns planned in Arizona

PHOENIX – There are no full freeway closures scheduled this weekend in the Valley, but state transportation officials advise drivers to consider options in areas where ramps and local streets will require work.

Motorists should plan for the following ramp or street closures associated with Valley freeway improvement projects from Friday night until Monday morning, Aug. 8-11:

Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed in both directions at Loop 101 in Scottsdale from 9 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday for bridge work.

ADOT officials said traffic will detour using Loop 101 frontage roads.

The westbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Arizona Avenue in Chandler will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work.
