PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) - Plattsburgh officials on Friday unveiled a state historic sign at the home of two local poets who lived in the Lake City during the 1800s.
The Davidson sisters -- Margaret and Lucretia -- live at a home on Cumberland Avenue. The sisters are also featured on a mural on the side of Xpress Mart on Bridge Street that was also dedicated on Friday.
Muralist Brendon Palmer-Angell says the Davidsons represent the creativity that runs deep in the city. “When I see this mural now, I think about young people having their creativity fostered and our community just anytime you see someone who has a creative impulse, you know, foster it,” he said.
Palmer-Angell is also in the process of finishing Outside Art’s 25th mural -- a tribute to renowned painter Rockwell Kent and
