A day dedicated to insects, the Bug Jamboree is coming up tomorrow at the Ellis Nature Centre.
Insects are an essential part of the ecosystem and make up the diet of many of the insect-eating birds at Ellis Nature Centre, office administrator and volunteer coordinator Chloe Anderson said.
"We will be hosting insect demonstrations and presentations paired with lawn games, raffles, and children’s activities."
Special guests like John Acorn AKA "The Nature Nut" will be presenting on Fossil Insects while sharing their collection of butterflies, beetles, and more, she added.
"You will also be able to go on a bug hunt, a butterfly walk, or check for aquatic invertebrates at our Wetland Centre."
