PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland residents can expect to see more than one full moon this weekend.

Nude bicyclists will again take to city streets on Saturday evening. The event is one of two naked bike ride protests now held in the city.

"Joy is a form of resistance," said Máximo Castro, a spokesperson for the event.

Cities around the world host various versions of naked bike rides. In Portland, the event splintered after the original organizers decided not to host one in 2024. A smaller group hosted their own version instead, resulting in two separate events this year.

The "Portland World Naked Bike Ride" was held July 26. The other ride, the "World Naked Bike Ride" will be Saturday.
