PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After KPMG Manager Deanna Premo lost consciousness at work, she wasn't expected to survive. But her coworker Ryan Hover performed CPR for five minutes, and ultimately saved her life.

The American Red Cross Cascades Region will honor Hovoer for his lifesaving efforts on Aug. 13 at the Wells Fargo Center in Portland.

Premo, who now wears a pacemaker, will also provide an update on how she's doing.

"I have made an amazing recovery, and I would not have survived this ordeal without Ryan Hover's quick action and sustained CPR," Premo said.
