Hillsboro Ore. (KPTV) - Hillsboro police and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after Hillsboro Fire & Rescue responded to the report of an “object that looked like a human body part” in the Tualatin River on Friday, firefighters said.

Just after 5 p.m., Hillsboro Fire & Rescue crews responded to Rood Bridge Park on a water rescue call. Shortly after, the scene was turned over to law enforcement officers.

The person who called 911 told FOX 12 he found what he believed was a severed leg in the water near the Rood Bridge Park boat launch. He also showed the FOX 12 crew a video they took of the scene.
