YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Oak Hill Collaborative, a non-profit serving the Mahoning Valley, is holding its first Community Connect Weekend, which started with an E-Waste Collection Drive on Friday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The event is open for the public to drop off any technology that is unwanted, broken or needs recycled. Oak Hill Collaborative has partnered with local recycler GreenBoard IT to ensure all materials collected are properly disposed of.

"Primarily, we like to partner with a local refurbisher and recycler -- Greenboard IT -- they collect all this material when we're done, and they will get that properly recycled to prevent toxic materials from getting into the environment," said Elizabeth Coss, with Oak Hill Collaborative.
