Boil water notice for the City of Norwich

NORWICH, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - The City of Norwich is under a boil water notice due to E. coli bacteria detected in the city's public water system.

City of Norwich residents received a boil water notice. This is due to the city detecting E. coli bacteria in the water system.

The E. coli bacteria was first found in 1 out of 11 samples of drinking water on August 6th. Residents are advised to bring tap water to a rolling boil, boiling for one minute and let cool before use. For consumption residents are advised to use bottled water.
